Students worked very hard today to get their creative writing stories completed for the Minor Journal. Students also worked on their descriptive words activity to complete the Christmas theme.
We also worked on finishing our social studies graphs that represent the populations of each province and territory. Students also completed the first step of collecting 6 interesting points about a Canadian hero. If students did not get completed, they can access the Web site http://deena.ca/
We discussed our partner work in math today that was completed on Friday. Students modelled 24 divided by 6 and 24 divided by 4. We began to talk about using estimation in division and will continue tomorrow.

Students have been working extra hard at completing their stories and letters for the Minor Journal. Monday is our deadline so please encourage the students to work on them if they are not completed.
We began our next unit in math, Division of Whole Numbers. Students were asked to work in partners today to show in numbers, pictures, or words what 2 division questions look like.
Students will have their math tests returned to them on Monday as I apologize for not having them marked for today.
Have a great weekend and see everyone on Monday!

Welcome back after a much needed long weekend!
Students are busy practicing for the Christmas concert therefore our daily schedules will be shifted around a bit every day.
We began this morning with math. Some students will be writing a re-test tomorrow for math. I know that the students can do much better on the Multiplication test. We reviewed the concepts again today and talked about how to study. I'm looking forward to a better result tomorrow.
Students worked on Destination Math in computers.
