We started off out day with Independent Reading. Mrs. Lippai spoke with the class on how to choose a "Just Right Book." Students will be working on developing the skills to pick books that they can enjoy and that are at their reading level. We spent the morning trying to find that book!! Students then took some time to dive into their new books!!

After recess, we completed three stations in Science. At the computer station, students worked on some weather puzzles on Weather Channel Kids. At a second station, students finished their title pages for our Weather unit. At the final station, students worked in groups to develop a question about temperature. Students then had to design an investigation that will allow them to answer this question over a 5 day span.

After lunch, we sqeezed in some Math Pods as we also took our school pictures! At the computer station, students worked on Number Cracker. At the rug, students worked on creating number patterns with their groups and began to write them on chart paper. These will be in the hallway very soon!! Come check out our patterns!! At the final station, students worked to complete yesterday's assignment from page 8 of the textbook. We worked on numbers 1 and 3. These are for homework if students did not get complete.

To finish off the day, students had Phys Ed and we read Chapter 2 of our read aloud, Hatchet.
