Students completed Day 4 of centers today. All center activites from this set are due tomorrow morning. Guided reading groups are working on their poems. The students are doing a wonderful job focusing on the details from the brainstorming webs.

After recess students completed Lesson 3 spelling test. We also read a chapter and a half of our read aloud, Dive.

After lunch, students wrote their Patterns and Equations unit test.

In writing, we worked on an individual assignment asking Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How questions to stretch and add details to a simple version of Jack and the Bean Stalk. Students have done a great job in working on adding details and stretching their writing. Next week we will begin to tackle the next trait of writing, Organization.
