Students began the day by compiling 7 sentences for their new spelling words. Lesson 4 spelling words include: guessed, guest, excellent, mean, tomorrow, learned, disappear.

We will be starting our next unit in math: Whole Numbers. Students watched a short Place Value video clip today that introduced them to place value and comparing numbers. Students then worked in pairs to explore the number chart on page 34 and 35.

After recess, students began to work on the Organization trait of 6+1 Writing. We began an activity that focuses on the beginning, middle, and end of narrative writing. Each student has drawn a picture of each of these components on individual sticky notes. We will use these for a writing activity next week.
