Students completed Day 1 of a new set of centers this morning. Teacher table groups have been working on a poem titled "That Was Summer." Students are working on the final stages of writing their own poem that reflects the writing style of this particular poem. Students are adding their poems to their personal blogs. Check the Student Writing links to read the wonderful poems the students have written.

Students participated in the annual Terry Fox Run after recess.

We completed a Math Pod day after lunch. The computer station had students working playing Place Value to 100 000. At teacher table, students and I discussed using base ten blocks and the components of these different blocks. Students were assigned 1,5,6 from page 38. The third station had students working in partners or groups of 3 and playing a game called Aim for 100 000. The goal of this game is to get as close to 100 000 as possible.
