We finished up Day 4 of Centers this morning. We will not start a new set of stations until after the long weekend.
After recess, we worked at 4 different stations for math. At the computer station, students were to choose any of the equivalent fraction Web sites. At the back table, students worked with me to use multiplication to find equivalent fractions. At the white board, students used magnetic fraction circles and magnetic fraction tiles to find equivalent fractions. The fourth station had students using a fraction chart to find equivalent fractions.
After lunch, students watched a video on Bridge Construction to help students to realize the massive job it is to build a real bridge, and the forces that affect those bridges.
Students are going to start designing their Egg Protectors tomorrow. If you have an cardboard at home, please send it to school.
Students then had French with Mrs. Orosz.
We finished watching the Bridge video after recess before students went to Phys Ed.

It's probably too late for this year, but I bet your students would like playing bridge building games next year to supplement your bridge curriculum. Assuming you cover bridges again that is!
