Today we completed Day 2 at Centers.

After recess, students exchanged papers with a partner and went through the writing conventions. Students used the colored pencils to indicate missing capital letters, missing periods, misspelled words, and other punctuation. Students then continued to work on their sticker stories.

Students were then off to French for a half hour before lunch.

After lunch, we completed Math Pods. One group of students worked with Mrs. Gale and discussed the relationship between volume and capacity. Another group worked with me to discuss the Litre problems that students were assigned yesterday. Students also began working on page 154 (6,7,8,9), reviewing the mL. The last group, computers, worked on the Score and Pour activity from yesterday.
We will be having a Measurement unit test on Wednesday, February 10.

To finish up the day, students were given their Social tests. Please sign and return these on Monday. Those students who completed the bonus activity on the blog last month were given the option to add these bonus marks to their test. I have also sent home the Marbook for Social. Please check your email.
We started our next unit, Heritage, by discussing timelines. Students started to compile a list of 10 important events in their lives. We will be creating timelines to represent this information using Interactive Timeline.

Have a great weekend everyone!!
