We completed Day 2 of Centers this morning.

After recess, students used the website Visuwords to compile a list of color words to all to our color charts. We are beginning to focus on the Word Choice component of 6+1 Writing. Students are being encouraged to use "exciting" words to describe colors in their writing. For example, pink eraser - salmon pink eraser.

After lunch, students completed a problem using the Use or Make a Picture or Diagram problem solver with a partner. We then took some time to review dividing by halving and doubling.

We finished the day with three stations in Social. In the first station, students are working to create a Coat of Arms to represent themselves. Secondly, students are working to color the Canadian Coat of Arms. The last station, had students review the map of Canada and the capital cities worksheets completed last class. Students then worked on a wordsearch if they finished early.
