I would like to congratulate the students on a job well done at the track meet yesterday. I was impressed!

We completed Day 3 of Centers this morning.

After recess, we continued to work on comparing fractions. The students used various manipulatives to help them to compare. The Pods were as follows...
1) Computers
2) Comparing fractions using manipulatives
3) Pizza Fraction game

Students then shifted into Writing where they used quick writes to practice using voice in their writing. We are working on showing feeling and expression in our writing. The students completed two quick writes....1) you are being chased by a dog and are very fearful, 2) you are floating on a lake and are feeling very relaxed.  The students did an excellent job using their "voice" to demonstrate these feelings.

After lunch, we continued to work on our children's books in Social Studies. The First Nations legends are coming along very nicely!

French and Phys Ed closed out the day.
