We kicked off our morning by combining both grade 5 classrooms and worked with our detail cubes to write a paragraph about an item. We then worked together to make our paragraphs "juicier" by adding details. Students also started to work on trying to find words that we might need to check for spelling. Great job today grade 5!!
We also completed a set of pods using adding details as one of our stations. A second station had students on Mathletics.com. Finally, students read quietly independently.
In the afternoon the students enjoyed a movie and phys ed.
Hopefully, I will see everyone tomorrow!!
