We started out this beautiful Friday with Spelling. Students had to look through their writing binders and choose 7 words that they have had trouble with spelling. They then used these words, as we have all year, to compile 7 sentences.

We then completed Math Pods to start out our new unit: Statistics and Probability. At teacher table, we worked through questions 1-3 from page 260 focusing on the difference between first and second-hand data. At seat work, students worked on question 4 from page 260. Students worked in partners to come up with a question to ask their classmates to collect first-hand data. At computers, students used the website Grapher to create a graph using the information given in a short story from class. Students then printed these graphs to hand in.

Students finished off the day in French and Phys Ed.
